My Impact

I understand that not everything is about me; in fact, nothing is about me. It has brought me much comfort to know that I’m not all that important. But I can still do things that are important, even if they are only important to me. It’s nice to know that those things will have little to no effect on others, unless they invite those things into their lives. It’s up to them. They have the freedom to choose my impact on their lives. I think that’s tremendous.

It’s not that my work isn’t important. It can be if people need it to be; but it doesn’t have to be. I’m not imposing myself on others. I allow people to find the value where they want to. I just hope I give them enough to choose from before I go.
